Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 8:45 amI’ve had these buds for two months now. During the first week the sleeve over the jack came off and the right headphone split in half at the seam. Neither prevent the buds from working, but it does mean I need to be extra careful when putting them away. This week the mute button quit working when pressed… also, the jack is a really tight fit in my mp3 player and may have contributed to the input jack now being extemely loose and sound getting cut off when the cord jiggles.
As for sound, they sound pretty good for buds! But not any better than the $20 ones that skullcandy sells (which lead me too buy these). I really wanted to love these w the microphone but the build quality is a serious issue.

Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 11:35 amI don’t generally like ear-bud style headphones and generally use some skullcandy SK Pro headphones which i received as a gift. those generally do the trick but aren’t the sort of headphones i can take with me when i am going out and about.so i ordered these holua ear-buds from the skullcandy site. i like the little wooden case they come with (granted the foam thing that you stuff the headphones into to hold them in place is tacky beyond belief) but i suspect as it’s a bit too bulky for a pocket. as such it probably won’t get used much unless i’m putting them in a drawer or something. the sound is better than i expected and contrary to one of the other reviews i think these actually have a fair amount of bass for ear-buds. it’s at least enough bass for me. it came with some softer foam-like attachments to replace the more rubbery style ones which is a plus (though i think the cheaper earbuds they sell also come with these.) i don’t know if the pair being sold here on amazon has a mic for your phone or not since i can’t see in the description whether or not it does but the pair i ordered through skullcandy’s website has one and this is what really sold me. i have an Ipod touch which doesn’t have a mic so having it built into the headphones allows me to make VOIP calls from the ipod, or use apps that use the mic. so these made me happy all around since i was not sure that expensive ear-buds could really justify the expense but i think they turned out to be worth the money. perhaps my pessimism left room for some surprise. So if you’re an ear-bud person looking for some decent sounding headphones with a lifetime warranty i don’t think you can go wrong with these.

Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 1:55 pmI use these with my iPhone, primarily when I’m working out. Ambient noise level is typically moderate when these are being used.
The pro’s – They stay in my ears when I’m working out. And they keep the sweat out. Which is a big deal, because I’m a perspirer. Volume is OK, the plug fits in my iPhone. ( I had to shave the plug on my Shure earbuds to get them to work without an adapter). The cord is long enough to put the iPhone in a dry spot on the machine.
The cons – Bass is pretty much nonexistent unless you have your mouth closed. I like to exercise at a high enough heart rate that I have to breathe through my mouth. Not ideal from a music standpoint.
I would buy them again for use in travelling or casual listening. I would go back to Shure for earphones that deliver bass response when I’m mouth breathing.

Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 3:40 pmThese ear buds are absolutely amazing. The sound quality is great and it’s very detailed. The only problem with them is that the cord is a little stiff and tends to stay in a semi-coiled position while I’m using them. Other than that these ear buds are perfect.

Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 5:16 pmI loved these headphones, the sound is crisp and clear, the rubber tips are extremely comfortable and create a good seal (although they were a tad more difficult to change than other in-hear headphones I’ve had…but you really only need to change them a couple times till you find the right size)
These earbuds are a bit on the heavy side with the bass (which for me is a plus, but i know some people might find this annoying)
Other than that, there is no indication really of which speaker is for the left and right ear, there is the skullcandy pendant where the cord splits, but other than that, there is no indication, which is about the only negative thing i have to say, that and the cord is a tad be stiff, but at least it doesn’t feel cheap and flimsy =/
