I bought a pair of “Skullcandy Smoking Buds Ink’d Earbuds – Black (SC-INK’D/BLK)” at Target today for $13.99, and I thought they were complete cr*p. They were unconfortable and the sound quailty was aweful! When I first put them on, they felt like I was sticking in earplugs not headphones, and then worse of all was the really tinny yucky sound quality. At first I tryed to adjust the way they were in my ear bc I thought it was inpossible for them to sound this bad and be this unconfortable, but the more I adjusted them the worse they felt. It sucks that now I have to jump back in my car and waste my valuable time to return these darn things. I would say the stock headphones that come with an i-pod sound 10x better, I wish I didnt loose mine!

It’s important to tell you right away that I’m using these headphones with a Creative Zen. A lot of reviewers are using ipods which do not produce good sound, so it’s not the headphones fault: it’s the mp3 player. Apple simply spends lots of money on advertising. Those commercials are not free. They actually add up to about forty dollars in each ipod.

In short: pay attention to where the sound is coming from. If you check reviews and look at ipod verses creative you will find that every review will say that creative sounds better. Don’t blame the headphones!! Blame the marketing trap that you have fallen into. I’ll get on with the review in a moment.

Did you know that the Creative Zen also has an FM Stereo, a voice recorder and is expandable through an SD memory card? All the while sounding better than the ipod nano. The zen has a bigger screen as well.

    On with the review :)

These headphones are well worth the money. It’s important to note that you should turn the volume down before trying the headphones. I listen to mine at a setting of only seven. Skullcandy smokin buds fit directly into your ears so the sound is very close to your eardrums. These will cross the pain threshold (point at which the music hurts) at about twenty.

The direct fit blocks out most outside sound so be careful

I really like the clarity and the ease of these earphones…there are 3 sizes so you can adjust the size of the ear piece for different size lobes!

Just terrible they slip out of your ear and the sound well….it’s just awful! I wondered if the manufacturer even tested these before releasing them out in stores! just horrific headphones.
