Goodness, yes, I want to learn to balance trays of flowers, lit candles, cakes, and who knows what else on my head! Pretty cool. The instruction is really perfect, not tedious, over done, or slow. Tips on what kind of tray and how to get it to balance, invaluable. If you’re a dancer, you’ve got a great show-stopper if you master this technique. Neon’s a patient, sweet, encouraging, non-threatening instructor. Well-done, pleasing, delivers what it promises; no complaints at all, only praise for this niche-idea dvd.

This dvd production & black background with some graphic help is just like all her other dvds from worlddancenewyork

Neon’s precise teaching techniques, friendly demeanor and excellent dance skills take the mystery out of balancing and make it fun to learn. She also provides the student with several unique performance ideas. Every dancer should have this dvd in their reference library!

Posted on March 6th, 2010 at 11:28 amI actually came across this dvd by mistake, I thought I ordered something else and this showed up but I gave it a try. What a great selection of routines for an intimate performance! I really enjoyed the idea of showering or distributing roses from your tray during your dance. I had never seen anyone perform balancing a tray on TOP of a veil covering the dancer before.
Surprisingly easy- a beginner could pull off these dances and look very mysterious and accomplished. She even gets down to the nitty gritty of what kind of makeup to wear to prevent getting your hair caught in your lipstick.
I must admit the coverart seemed a little cheesy and the very neon costume gave me my doubts but the performance was rather tastful and I absolutely LOVE her accent!

Posted on March 6th, 2010 at 12:05 pmI really enjoyed this video, Neon teaches and performs on an all black background so there are no distractions. The video also has illustrations for body and arms and that really helps whan you are not sure what she is doing. She wears an outlandish green bra and miniskirt and at first I thought it was quite funny but soon realized it is helpful in order to see her movements. She also tells you what knid of tray to use and how to arrange the flowers. All in all this video is very good instruction, and Neon has a cute Russian accent too!
